In your arms

So far we've looked at several kinds of stop motion animation...we saw the largest one and the smallest... another done using clothes and one specifically with T-Shirts. There was also one with a tiger puppett and Lotte reiniger's silhouettes, just to mention a few. Oh, and a long time ago there was a music clip which was beautifully done and this is what comes closest to this short: it's also a music clip were the singer takes part in the animation. But...in this case, all the rest is done with...jelly beans!!

Até agora vimos diversos tipos de animação stop motion...vimos a maior e a menor...outra usando roupas e mais uma usando especificamente camisetas. Havia uma com um boneco de tigre e a de silhuetas da Lotte Reiniger, só para citar algumas. Ah, um bom tempo atrás postei um clip musical muito bem-feito e é o que chega mais perto à idéia atrás deste: também é um clip onde a cantora participa na animação. Mas...neste caso, todo o resto é feito com...jelly beans (aquelas balinhas de muitos sabores e cores)!!

This is a story about two different creatures that are trying to rule the same planet. Quite an amusing and nicely developed story, with very clean graphics. 

It's always interesting to notice the solutions chosen to tell stories and transmit ideas, after all, these little aliens that have such non-antropomorphic shapes have lots of appeal! The timing and posing also help make this a very fun animation. It was directed by Ben Harper and Sean Mullen from the Irish studio Giant Creative.

Este curta é sobre dois aliens tentando dominar o mesmo planeta. Uma história bastante divertida e bem-contada com um design peculiar com formas bem definidas e simples. 

É sempre muito interessante observar as soluções escolhidas para contar histórias e transmitir idéias, afinal, essas criaturinhas, que de antropomórfico praticamente só têm os olhos, têm um enorme apelo! O timing e as poses também ajudam a tornar a animação bem divertida. Dirigido por Ben Harper e Sean Mullen do estúdio irlandês Giant Creative.
